Prepare the worksheet
- Use a single header row with unambiguous names.
- Keep one attribute per column.
- Avoid merged cells and leading blank rows.
- Format dates and numbers consistently.
- Do not include passwords or sensitive data in a demonstration file.
Import and review
The first worksheet is read locally in the browser. Review headers, decimal values, empty cells, and non-ASCII characters before generating slides. Changes made in the data preview are protected by autosave.
Choose the decision
Ask what the audience should do after seeing the report. Select three to five KPIs, one trend, one exception, and one recommendation. Keep the complete table as an appendix when necessary.
Choose a visual
| Question | Visual |
|---|---|
| How does performance change over time? | Line chart |
| Which category is largest? | Bar chart |
| How do a few parts form a whole? | Pie chart |
| How does the result compare with target? | KPI and variance |
Validate the export
PPTX text and charts should remain editable, but appearance can depend on fonts and the target application. Open the file in PowerPoint or LibreOffice and verify axis labels, non-ASCII characters, and slide dimensions.
